Passwords
BoulderScoring uses three levels of passwords to control access to your competition. Each serves a different purpose.
Comp Password
This is the password climbers enter to join your competition. Share it at check-in, post it on a sign at the front desk, or include it in your registration confirmation email.
Every climber needs this password to register and enter scores. It keeps your comp private to only the people who are actually participating.
Judge Password
If you're using judge mode, judges will need this password to access the scoring interface. This gives them the ability to enter scores for any climber at their assigned boulder.
Set this to FALSE (all caps) if you're not using judges — this disables judge mode entirely.
Admin Password
The admin password gives full control over the competition. With it, you can:
- Edit competition settings after creation
- View and modify any climber's scores
- Access the admin dashboard
- Export results
Keep this password private — only share it with co-organizers who need full access.
Tip: Use different passwords for each level. Don't use the same password for comp access and admin access.
